At the end of November 2020, shipments to Ukraine from the PNK ORLEN refinery (Poland) decreased by 55%, to 16.7 thousand tons.

The largest Ukrainian refinery “Ukrtatnafta” over the past years has been fighting for an increase in the market for motor gasoline, which has halved since 2014 due to the popularity of liquefied gas. At the filing of the company, a bill was registered in the Verkhovna Rada, which proposes to unify the excise tax on gasoline, autogas and diesel fuel at the level of 139.5 euros per 1000 liters.
In turn, the Ukrainian Association of Liquefied Gas, through its parliamentary lobbyists headed by Nina Yuzhanina, registered a bill that provides for fixing the ratio of excise tax rates on autogas at 25% of the excise tax rate on motor gasoline.
Experts call another draft law “compromise”, initiated by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy and Housing and Utilities, Andrey Gerus. He proposes to reduce the excise tax on gasoline from 213.5 euros to 169.5 euros per 1,000 liters and to raise the excise tax on LPG from 52 euros to 124.5 euros per 1,000 liters. At the same time, the excise tax on diesel fuel should be left at the current level – 139.5 euros per 1000 liters.
