Ukraine Gate- Kyiv – May 19, 2022 – The US Senate has decided to appoint diplomat Bridget Brink as the new ambassador to Ukraine, after the position had been vacant since 2019, when all senators voted for Brink.
US President Joe Biden nominated current US Ambassador to Slovakia Brink as the country’s new ambassador to Ukraine on April 25, and the experienced diplomat has served in the embassies of Uzbekistan, Tbilisi, and the US State Department.
The US embassy, which was closed due to the war, resumed its work in the Ukrainian capital on Wednesday.
