As indicated, Russian troops continued preparations for the storming of Severodonetsk and intensified operations in the Lyman region.
It is also reported that Russian forces are giving priority to maintaining positions around the Russian border to prevent further advance of Ukraine north of Kharkiv, and are likely to continue to do so by deploying additional reinforcements in other areas of the offensive.
ISW also emphasizes that Russia continues to strike at Azovstal. This means that there are remnants of Ukrainian defense, analysts say.
