Ukraine Gate- Kyiv – May 21, 2022 – According to reports issued by the Prosecutor General’s Office as of the morning of May 21, more than 662 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the mass armed aggression launched by the Russian Federation side, and according to official data from the Juvenile Prosecution Office, 232 children were killed and more than 430 were injured.
However, these data are not definitive, as they are being consolidated in the places of actual hostilities, in the occupied and temporarily liberated territories.
Children were most affected in the following areas:
- Donetsk – 145
- Kyiv region – 116
- Kharkiv region – 102
- Chernihiv region – 68
- Kherson region – 48
- Luhansk region – 48
- Mykolaiv region – 45
- Zaporizhia region – 28
- Sumy region – 17
- Kyiv city – 16
- Zhytomyr region – 15.
