The director of NABU Artem Sytnik said: “with the start of the work of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court, the anti-corruption cycle has closed. And by changing the names it will not be possible to open it”.
“Even the absence of the head of the SAP is no longer able to stop work, only to slow down. Well, the first verdicts of the still warming up VAKS in cases that have been in other courts for years are the expected reason for public hysterics of those involved in high-profile investigations. And also for direct attacks. And from several centers,” he added.
According to Sytnik, Moscow’s main goal is to discredit Ukraine in the eyes of the West and deprive it of support.
“The key tool here is the myth of “external management,” including NABU. While the truth is that without our Western partners, we would never have made it that far and created such an anti-corruption mechanism,” he explained.
Sytnik also noted that mini- and maxi-oligarchs who simply want to close questions about their affairs influence the corruption cycle within the country.
“They unite, like the same Kolomoisky and Bakhmatyuk, pay for some rallies and advertisements, “work” with deputies and factions in parliament regarding the adoption / rejection of the laws they need. And all this is so much on the surface in the media that my words can hardly be considered some kind of exclusive conclusion. Bakhmatyuk admits that he received over a billion hryvnia of refinancing, but instead of returning the money to the state, he spends it on his own public whitewash,” summed up the NABU director.
Why are the central authorities and President Zelensky keeping deathly silence? What role do the Ukrainian oligarchs and Moscow play in undermining the foundations of the state? What strata of top corruption can be revealed by the cases of the OASK and ex-People’s Deputy Mikitas? Why does the OPU cover Oleg Tatarov? How much more time is needed to deal with Leros’ films and Klitschko’s “concepts”? Does NABU have any real claims against ex-prime minister Groisman?
