Ukraine Gate- Kyiv – May 25, 2022 – US President Joe Biden called on the United States to stand up to the gun lobby, hours after the killing of 18 children and 3 adults by a young man who stormed their elementary school.
“I hoped when I became president that I wouldn’t deal with a new massacre like this,” Biden said in a letter from the White House.
He added: “The list of mass killings is long. We have to act and stop these massacres.” He continued, “I have worked all my life as a senator on legislation to stop these incidents.”
The US President stressed that “no child can go and buy a gun, this is wrong, this industry must be stood up”, and also stressed that these accidents do not happen anywhere in the world, but occur in the United States because of gun possession.
Those who oppose or delay the passage of gun control laws will never forget them.
Biden ordered the flags at half-staff at the White House and all public and federal government buildings, until next Saturday evening, in mourning for the victims.
The Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, urged all her colleagues to take immediate action to end the phenomenon of armed violence.
During the attack, 19 children and a teacher were killed in a shooting at an elementary school in Ovaldi, Texas, and the perpetrator was arrested.
