Ukraine Gate- Kyiv – May 26, 2022 – According to official data issued by the Ukrainian Prosecutor’s Office, the number of child victims has risen to 240 in Ukraine since the start of the mass invasion by Russian forces until the morning of May 26, and more than 676 others were injured.
But this data is not final, as work is underway to fix it in the places of actual fighting, in the occupied and temporarily liberated territories.
Children were most affected in the following areas:
- Donetsk – 151
- Kyiv – 116
- Kharkiv – 105
- Chernihiv – 68
- Luhansk – 50
- Kherson – 49
- Mykolaiv – 45
- Zaporizhia – 28
- Sumy – 17
- in Kyiv – 16
- Zhytomyr – 15.
