Companies face serious fines for violating these rules
The European Commission today will unveil landmark regulations that will restrict the capabilities of tech giants Facebook, Amazon, Google and other services.
The European Union intends to set strict rules for tech giants.
The bill, titled Digital Services Law and Digital Markets Law, set out specific provisions aimed at limiting the influence of global Internet companies on the EU market.
Companies including Google, Apple, Amazon, Facebook and others can face hefty fines for breaking the rules.
Yesterday, almost the whole world was “banned from Google” for an hour. Most of the company’s services worked intermittently or did not work at all.
The reason was announced in the evening of the same day. According to the company, Google experienced an authentication failure for 45 minutes due to problems with the internal storage quota.
