According to Bloomberg estimates, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin could lose about $ 10 billion a year from oil exports under an EU ban. This is because Russia will be forced to sell its oil at a discount to Asia, where it is already passing from hand to hand, about $ 34 per barrel cheaper than the price of futures on Brent.
The cessation of supplies through the northern branch of the Druzhba pipeline to Poland and Germany will lead to a reduction of another $ 12 billion. According to the publication, Russia will continue to earn about $ 6 billion from exports to Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic through the southern branches of the “Friendship”.
According to Bloomberg, last year Russia delivered to Europe about 720 thousand barrels of crude oil per day through the Druzhba pipeline. For comparison, the volume of oil transportation from the Baltic, Black and Arctic ports is 1.57 million barrels per day.
