Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday held telephone talks with Vladimir Zelensky and Vladimir Putin, the office of the Turkish leader reported .

Erdogan discussed with the President of Ukraine the creation of a route for the export of Ukrainian products.

“President Erdogan stressed that he attaches special importance to the project of creating a safe corridor for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products by sea,” Erdogan’s press service said in a statement.
In an evening address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that because Russia was blocking Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea and seizing the Ukrainian coast of the Sea of Azov, Ukraine could not export 22 million tons of grain already in storage.
Erdogan also discussed grain exports from Ukraine with Russian President Putin.
“Vladimir Putin stressed the readiness of the Russian side to facilitate the unimpeded sea transit of goods in coordination with Turkish partners. This also applies to the export of grain from Ukrainian ports,” the Kremlin said in a statement .
According to the report, “Russia can export significant amounts of fertilizers and agricultural products if the relevant anti-Russian sanctions are lifted.”
