The number of children affected since the Russian invasion of Ukraine has reached at least 689 children, of whom 243 died, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General .

The most affected children were in Donetsk region – 153, Kyiv region – 116, Kharkiv region – 111, Chernihiv region – 68, Luhansk region – 52, Kherson region – 52, Mykolaiv region – 47, Zaporizhia region – 29, Sumy region – 17, Kyiv city – 16, Zhytomyr region – 15 .
These figures are not final, as work is underway to establish them in places of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

Due to constant bombing and shelling by the Russian armed forces of Ukrainian cities and villages, 1937 educational institutions were damaged. At the same time, 181 of them were completely destroyed, the Prosecutor General’s Office said.
