Britain will send MLRS M270 multiple rocket launchers to Ukraine, which can hit targets at a distance of up to 80 km. This was announced on Wednesday by British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace, CNN reports .

According to the ministry, the move was in line with the US decision to provide Ukraine with highly mobile HIMARS artillery missile systems.
“The United Kingdom is on Ukraine’s side and is playing a leading role in providing its heroic forces with the vital weapons they need to defend their country,” Wallace said.
He stressed that as Russia’s tactics change, so must Ukraine’s support.
“High-efficiency rocket-propelled grenade launchers will allow our Ukrainian friends to better protect themselves from Russia’s brutal use of long-range artillery, which Putin’s troops use indiscriminately to level cities to the ground,” the minister added.
According to him, the Ukrainian military will be trained in Britain “to maximize the effectiveness of launchers.”
