From July 1, Poland will stop paying financial assistance to refugees from Ukraine, which amounted to 40 zlotys (UAH 276) per day.

According to government spokesman for refugees Pavel Bossernaker, benefits will not be waived for people with disabilities, pregnant women and those with many children. Others have to get a job.
“We are convinced that many people in Poland are able to become independent and adapt,” he said.
As noted, the government in a special law on assistance to refugees from Ukraine initially guaranteed benefits for the first 60 days. One month ago, he extended his term for another 60 days.
“We pay huge social funds – from 300 zlotys for each to 500+ zlotys for each child and others that are the result of social benefits. In addition, we see that many Ukrainians are looking for work. We want to encourage others to be active. Four months full protection is, in our opinion, enough time, “said a senior politician, albeit on condition of anonymity.
