Ukraine Gate – Kyiv – June 2, 2022- Irish Parliament Speaker Mark Daly announced via Twitter that the Irish Senate has adopted a resolution recognizing the crimes of the Russian army in Ukraine as genocide.
He said that the illegal invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation is an act of genocide, the Irish Senate has adopted a resolution on Russia’s genocide in Ukraine.
It is also noted that the text of the document also calls for the prosecution of Russian political leaders for Russia’s crimes in Ukraine, the intensification of sanctions against Russia, and the continuation of work to stop Russian energy imports, which finance Putin’s military machine against the Ukrainian people and territory.
The Verkhovna Rada also adopted a statement on the genocide committed by the Russian Federation in Ukraine, with 363 deputies voting in favor of the resolution.
As there are countries whose parliaments have recognized Russia’s crimes as genocide of the Ukrainian people: Estonia, Latvia, Canada, Poland, Lithuania, and the Czech Republic.
