The President of the European Commission is going to Macron to talk about helping Ukraine

The President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen stated that the EU supports Ukraine, amid 100 days since the full-scale invasion of Russia. And today such support will be discussed in Paris with French President Emmanuel Macron .

“100 days ago Russia launched an unjustified war against Ukraine. The courage of Ukrainians arouses our respect and admiration. The EU supports Ukraine. Today in Paris I will discuss with Emmanuel Macron current and future support for the country from the EU,” von der Leyen wrote on Twitter.

The European Commission said that during the 100 days of the war, the EU supported Ukraine in almost 100 different ways. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Sanctions are to weaken the Kremlin’s ability to finance the war
- Emergency macro-financial assistance – to support the Ukrainian government and budget
- Ways of solidarity – to prevent the global food crisis and allow Ukraine to export its grain
- Investigative actions – to help Ukraine investigate war crimes committed by Russia
- The reconstruction platform is a commitment to completely rebuild Ukraine after the war
