Ukrainian wrestlers won six medals at the Individual World Cup, which took place in Belgrade, Serbia.
The Ukrainian women’s team, led by Volodymyr Evonov, once again confirmed its status as one of the strongest teams in the world and took second place overall. In total, the girls won six medals:
“Gold” – Tatiana Rizhko
“Silver” – Lilia Malanchuk
“Bronze” – Alina Berezhna, Alla Belinska, Kateryna Zelenykh, Ilona Prokopevnyuk.
It is also noted that this year, due to a pandemic and the refusal of some countries to participate in the World Wrestling Championships, the United World Wrestling Bureau has decided to hold the World Championships scheduled for December under a different name. 505 athletes from 51 countries came to Belgrade for the Individual World Cup. Also, for the first time in competitions of this level, a prize fund of 10 thousand euros in each weight category was established.
