As conceived by the developers, the new software should “read” the user’s thoughts and encode them into signals recognized by the computer program!
Facebook CTO Mike Schroepfer shared his plans for creating tools from science fiction films at a meeting with colleagues. The idea of the developers, however, is not aimed at directly reading the operator’s thoughts; it would be an excessively expensive and technically difficult task. As conceived by Facebook, a special neural sensor should help a person manage the software and the interface of the service with the power of thought. According to Schroepfer, bringing such technology to market is possible only with high trust from the end user.
In 2019, Facebook acquired CTRL-Labs, a startup that specializes in creating neural interfaces. Apparently, the implementation of the new project will fall on the shoulders of CTRL-Labs developers.
We previously reported that Facebook is gearing up to launch a digital currency in early 2021. Most likely, users will first be offered one type of cryptocurrency, and Facebook will postpone the launch of other cryptocurrencies until a later date. The rate of the coin will correlate with the dollar one to one. The launch of a single coin depends on whether the project is approved as a payment service by the Swiss financial market supervisor (Finma).
Facebook plans to introduce a new “Super” option so that users can interact live with celebrities or content creators for a fee, as is done in the Cameo app. The service will allow you to level quarantine bans. Public persons will have an additional opportunity to communicate with their fans.
