The head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Oleksiy Lyubchenko announced on the air of the program “Freedom of speech by Savik Shuster”: “last year, the State Tax Service did not register 11.8 million Ukrainian citizens as “active citizens” – “they did not receive a penny of profit.”
“We have 44.1 million in the Unified Register (individuals – taxpayers – ed.). In the territory of Ukraine, which is currently under our control, we know about 37.6 million people. The active population – 15-70 years – 29.6 million live in the controlled areas. According to last year’s data, we see only 11.2 million entries in the register – those who received a salary. That is, this is the real number of jobs in 2019. Let’s count everything else. We have 11.2 million jobs, 11.3 million retirees. And let’s assume what should be the burden on the Employment Fund for the employer to pay pensions, “- added Lyubchenko.
The taxpayer noted that taking into account the average salary and the average pension, it is possible to understand the deficit of the Pension Fund of more than 40%.
“Last year, we did not see 11.8 million active citizens in the database. They did not receive a penny of profit. In addition, 4.1 million citizens for 10 years are not visible on the tax map of Ukraine, no action in terms of paying taxes. This clearly demonstrates that we have two with a spoon for one employee,” Lyubchenko summed up.
The head of the State Tax Service also stated that in the period from 2004 to 2019 in Ukraine the number of jobs decreased from 19.2 to 11.2 million.
