“Today, the European Commission held an introductory debate on the application for membership of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia. It seems that Ukraine and Moldova will receive the status of a candidate with conditions, but there are still questions about Georgia. The decision will be made on Friday, and member states will make a final verdict next week, ” the journalist wrote on Twitter.

This week, the European Union’s executive body is expected to grant Ukraine candidate status, a key step on the long road to EU membership.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration of Ukraine Olga Stefanyshyna said that there are seven countries in the EU that talked about other formats for Ukraine, not candidate status. First of all, three of them do not want to give the “green light” for Kyiv yet.
