The SWIFT system has stopped providing services to Russia’s Sberbank, Rosselkhozbank and Moscow Credit Bank.

As of today, the SWIFT financial messaging system has stopped providing services to Russia’s Sberbank, Rosselkhozbank (RSHB) and Moscow Credit Bank (MKB). This decision was made within the framework of the sixth package of EU sanctions against Russia.
According to the Russian media, financial institutions have noted that disconnection from the interbank data exchange system will allegedly not affect their work.
Sberbank has announced that it will continue to work full-time, the terms of international settlements will not change.
The ICD said that operations within the country will be conducted as usual, but may increase the time for processing payments abroad.
The RSHB clarified that they had created conditions for uninterrupted autonomous work in advance.
