Details
It is reported that units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Russian army in the hottest points of the front are probably increasingly reduced to small groups of troops, which operate, as a rule, on foot.
“Some of Russia’s strengths, such as the advantage in the number of tanks, are becoming less significant in such conditions. This is likely to help maintain a slow pace of progress,” the agency said.
They also stressed that all the main bridges across the Seversky Donets River, which connect the city of Severodonetsk with the territory held by Ukraine, have been destroyed. However, the Ukrainian side is likely to withdraw a significant part of its combat units, which initially held the city, according to British intelligence.
The agency said that the Russian occupiers will now most likely have to either organize a controversial crossing of the river, or step on their locked flanks to turn a tactical gain into an operational advantage.
“The situation remains extremely difficult for Ukrainian troops and civilians remaining east of the river,” the statement said.
Addition
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed approximately 32,950 occupiers.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian occupiers continue to storm Severodonetsk and try to break through in the Slavic direction.
