Ukraine Gate – Kyiv – June 18, 2022- Deputy Principal of the First School of Nikolaev Secondary School reported via Facebook that the school decided to ban the use of the Russian language in municipal institutions of general secondary education in Nikolaev from the new school year, since the corresponding decision was made by the Executive Committee of the Nikolaev City Council.
In particular, it is forbidden to enroll in primary classes with Russian as a language of instruction, study it as a subject, course, and elective in grades 1-11.
As similar decisions have long been in effect in other cities in Ukraine, but for Nikolaev who still speaks Russian, they have really serious value.
