The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk submitted to the parliament a proposal to appoint Dmytro Lubinets to the position of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights .

Stefanchuk believes that Lubinets’ experience as chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Human Rights, Deoccupation and Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories in Donetsk, Luhansk Oblasts and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Sevastopol, National Minorities and International Relations, as well as his professional and human qualities create all the necessary preconditions for the full implementation of the powers vested in the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
