33-year-old former tennis player Maria Sharapova first confirmed her romance with 40-year-old British millionaire Alexander Gilkes. On Instagram, she wrote: “I said” yes “on the first day of our meeting … It was our little secret, wasn’t it?”, And also posted relevant photos and videos.
Gilkes himself on Instagram thanked Sharapova for her love: “You made me a very, very happy man.”
Gilkes owns part of the shares in the Phillips auction, and has its own online auction – Paddle8. He has a long list of influential friends, including Oscar winners, millionaires and supermodels including Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.
Earlier, Gilkes almost became the son-in-law of the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton. However, even after breaking up with her sister Pippa, he maintained friendly relations with Kate and her husband, Prince William.
For the first time Gilks and Sharapova were noticed together a couple of years ago. For Sharapova, this turned out to be the first serious relationship after breaking up in 2016 with the Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov.
