Gilmore arrived in Kyiv on June 19. During his working visit, he visited Irpin and Bucha, which suffered from the Russian occupiers.
In addition, the EU Special Representative met with Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, and Iryna Venediktova, Prosecutor General of Ukraine. He expressed support for the EU, as well as the International Criminal Court (ICC), the Atrocity Crimes Group and Eurojust for bringing to justice those responsible for war crimes in Ukraine.
