Ukraine Gate – Kyiv – June 21, 2022- The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced on its official Facebook page that the Russian army is making attempts to replace spare parts for military equipment with alcohol.

The Russians are also removing spare parts, batteries, and weapon control units from the equipment and trying to sell them or exchange them for alcohol.
Given the scale of the theft and the critical level of the equipment of the combat units, the commander of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation ordered an urgent investigation of the theft, as well as a double protection of the levels providing destroyed equipment to the repair units.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine also issued an audio interception complaining of the Russian military’s bombing of the Ukrainian armed forces and defective equipment on June 18.
