The main thing in the preparation of this sauce is speed.
It can be served with meat, fried potatoes, julienne and lasagna. It is really versatile, easy to prepare and very tasty.
Ingredients:
500 ml of milk
100 g of butter
3-4 tbsp. flour
half a teaspoon of nutmeg
swan salt (can be replaced with ordinary and a mixture of ground peppers)
italian herbs
dried garlic
Preparation:
Step 1
Put butter on a frying pan and melt.
Step 2
In a separate saucepan, pour the milk and heat. The milk should be hot but not boiling.
Step 3
Send flour to the heated butter and mix quickly. If you do everything quickly, there will be no lumps in the sauce.
Step 4
Now add milk to the mixture with a ladle on a frying pan and do not forget to stir with a whisk. How to do: add 1 ladle – mix quickly. And so on until the mixture becomes completely homogeneous.
To prevent the sauce from burning, it is better to keep the heat on the stove to a minimum or turn it off altogether.
Step 5
When all the milk is introduced, you can add spices. Be sure to put nutmeg, swan salt and dried Italian herbs. You can also add a little dried garlic. Now mix everything well.
Step 6
Return the sauce to the heat and on low heat, stirring constantly with a whisk, heat for another 5-10 minutes.
The sauce should come out like a thick sour cream. If suddenly it is too liquid, you can add a little more flour, mix well and heat for a few minutes.
Bon appétit!
