European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Thursday that she was convinced that Ukraine and Moldova would move as soon as possible to implement the necessary reforms.

“There can be no better sign of hope for the citizens of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia in these troubled times,” she told reporters on the sidelines of the EU summit in Brussels after both countries received EU candidate status, adding that they still have do homework”.
“I am deeply convinced that our decision today makes us all stronger. It strengthens Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia in the face of Russian aggression, “she said.
“And this strengthens the European Union, because it once again shows the world that the EU is one and strong in the face of external threats,” added Ursula von der Leyen.
