“Public authorities, local executive authorities have identified 240 places of public recreation on water bodies in Ukraine. 194 of them own the beach. The bathing seasons did not start in those areas that were under occupation and are now deoccupied. Either where they took place, or the fighting is still going on. This applies to Kyiv region, in particular Kyiv did not open beaches, Donetsk region, Chernihiv region, Sumy region, Mykolayiv region, Odesa region – that is, these are the areas in which we do not recommend coming to rest by the water, “- said the speaker.

The representative of the State Emergency Service stressed that reservoirs that are not open for recreation can be contaminated with a huge number of explosive devices. The SES strongly recommends that citizens do not go out into the water until all water bodies have been cleaned.
“Those areas that have opened the bathing season, people should know one rule: you need to bathe in places designated by military administrations, local authorities. Because these places are equipped with rescue posts, cleared of explosive objects, ”Khorunzhiy added.

According to the SES, 129 people, including 16 children, have died in Ukraine’s reservoirs since the beginning of summer .
