During his night address, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine’s status for EU accession “did not fall from the sky” and we should be proud to have received it.

Yesterday, the whole infospace was occupied by the discussion of the historic decision of the EU summit – granting Ukraine, as well as Moldova, the status of a candidate.
From the very morning on television, radio, and the Internet, a dialogue has been going on about what this means and what conditions Ukraine must meet.

“And I want to say this following the results of this day. And let’s rejoice at least a little? Quiet, modest, in the soul, but rejoice. For myself, my beloved state. Let’s feel the moment and the taste of this moment, ”Zelensky said.
The head of state noted that the authorities are now focusing on seven EU requirements.
“So. It’s true. But does it scare us? No. Because before that we successfully completed hundreds. Let’s not forget about it. Not for bragging. And for the belief that we will definitely overcome this path … Let’s say: Ukraine has gained the status of an EU candidate. Did he fall from the sky? Have we done little and done so? ” – stated the President.
