On Thursday, the United States pledged $ 450 million in security assistance through presidential powers, the 13th such expenditure this year. This package included 18 shore and river patrol boats.

Earlier this month, the United States pledged $ 1 billion in support through both the president’s powers to cut and Ukraine’s security initiative. The support package included, among other things, two Harpoon coastal defense systems.

“The package announced on Thursday includes two 35-foot small river vessels; six 40-foot naval warships; and ten 34-foot Dauntless Sea Ark patrol boats.
For the most part, they are designed to protect river routes and to allow Ukraine to maintain control over river routes. They can also be used in coastal areas, ”a senior defense official said during a briefing at the Pentagon.
In addition to coastal and river patrol boats, the latest security package related to the President’s powers to withdraw to Ukraine includes four HIMARS high-mobility artillery missile systems; 36,000 105 mm cartridges; 18 tactical machines for moving 155 mm artillery; 1200 grenade launchers Mk 19; and 2,000 machine guns.
According to the official, the United States, along with partner countries and allies, provided the Harpoon system to contribute to coastal defense.
Earlier this month, the United States pledged to hand over two Harpoon launchers that Ukrainians had asked to install on trucks. Other countries have also agreed to provide the Harpoon missiles themselves for use in these launchers.
