Ukraine Gate – Kyiv – June 25, 2022- The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine stated that Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko and his German counterpart Christian Linden signed an intergovernmental agreement on providing Ukraine with financing grants of one billion euros.
“The funds will be directed to the Ukrainian state budget to finance priority social and humanitarian expenditures amid martial law,” the statement said.
It should be noted that the funds will be sent to Ukraine through the managed account mechanism of the International Monetary Fund.
According to Serhiy Marchenko, the grant is seen as a very important contribution to support Ukraine.
