The government has no plans to raise taxes or further reduce budget expenditures. The chairman of tax committee of BP, the people’s deputy Danilo Getmantsev declared it on air of a telemarathon .
Quote
“Absolutely the situation will not change in any way in terms of taxation. If we talk about taxation, which was introduced in the first month of the war – it is 2% of the single tax instead of VAT and corporate income tax, exemption from small business taxes, restrictions on fines , restrictions on inspections – everything will remain. It will all be until the end of martial law, and possibly after it “, – Hetmantsev explained.
At the same time, he reminded that the Verkhovna Rada returned taxes on imports, and this was done primarily to help domestic producers, because the most important task of the state today is to restore the work of Ukrainian business. And here, as Hetmantsev stressed, an important aspect will be the administration of taxes.
“I do not see the potential in the economy today to raise taxes. But on the other hand, tax administration will be carried out clearly in accordance with the law. Entrepreneurs who, unfortunately, have gone into the shadows and do not participate in the fight against Russia, ie do not participate in In the general national “battle” for the payment of taxes, this is absolutely unacceptable, and the administration of taxes will be carried out in full compliance with the law.
It is quite clear and quite strict about those who evade taxation in peaceful areas, using the war as an excuse not to pay taxes, but in other words to engage in looting, “Hetmantsev stressed.
He also added that the issue of further reduction of state expenditures is not currently being considered, although a corresponding “Plan B” exists, but it will be applied only if there is no other way out and Ukraine is left without support from partners.
Context
Currently, the state budget of Ukraine does not receive UAH 5 billion per month. The deficit can be compensated by international support. At the same time, it should be noted that with the beginning of the active Russian invasion in Ukraine, changes to the state budget were adopted, which significantly reduced state budget expenditures, except for socially protected items, and significantly increased defense spending.
