Ukraine Gate – Kyiv – June 27, 2022- President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine’s monthly budget deficit is $5 billion, and Zelensky participated in the deliberation mode at the G7 leaders’ summit meeting in Germany.
In particular, the President stressed the importance of the decision to grant Ukraine the status of a candidate for accession to the European Union.
“This decision fully reflects our progress in European integration and our contribution to protecting the European values that we are all talking about,” he said.
The head of state stressed that the return of people to work will allow the launch of economic operations in the settlements, because today the monthly budget deficit of Ukraine is $ 5 billion.
Zelensky also noted the importance of lifting the embargo on the export of Ukrainian grain and called for thinking of effective mechanisms to ensure food security in the world.
The head of state called on the G7 countries to encourage their companies to consider Ukraine as an alternative to the Russian trend.
According to the president, after the end of the war, the Ukrainian state will have better access to the world market compared to the aggressor country, and Ukraine will also have duty-free access to the markets of the leading democratic countries.
The head of state pointed out the importance of post-war reconstruction of Ukraine, as this will be the largest economic project of our time, and participation in it will be greatly enhanced by the G7 countries.
It is noteworthy that the summit was attended by: US President Joseph Biden, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, German Chancellor Olaf Schultz, French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, European Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen and European Council President Charles Michel.
