“The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention continued to actively respond to the monkeypox outbreak by deploying an emergency center,” the statement said.
The agency explained that it allows the agency to increase operational support to respond to the increasing challenges.
And the emergency center already has more than 300 CDC staff working closely with local, national, and international partners to respond to new and direct challenges to disease outbreaks.
According to statistics last week, there were 3.4 thousand cases of monkeypox in the world, almost the same number of people were waiting for confirmation of the diagnosis, and the dynamics of diseases increased sharply, it has tripled compared to the first half of June.
Meanwhile, genetic analysis of the monkeypox virus, conducted by researchers from different countries, showed that the infection has been common in humans since 2018, so smallpox can spread and infect anyone, often through skin-to-skin contact.
