Ukraine Gate – Kyiv – July 4, 2022- Prime Minister Denis Shmyal said during his speech at the Reconstruction of Ukraine Conference in the Swiss city of Lugano that the recovery plan for Ukraine consists of three phases, and after the victory in the war, thousands of reconstruction projects will have to be implemented.
“The recovery plan in Ukraine is divided into three main phases, the first is the restoration of what is possible and what is critical to people’s lives here and now, the second part is a rapid recovery, given the number of destroyed things, and even the basic infrastructure is huge. Immediately after the end of hostilities,” Shmygal said. And for Ukraine to win, thousands of reconstruction projects will have to be implemented. ”
He added that the second phase includes repairing schools and hospitals, building temporary housing, and returning life to destroyed cities and communities.
Shmihal said that “the third phase of this plan is a long-term transformation, as it concerns all fields, starting with education and medicine and ending with the ‘green transformation’ and the new military-industrial complex.”
He stressed that the basis for Ukraine’s recovery is people, economy and infrastructure.
Shmyhal also drew attention to the fact that the National Council for the Restoration of Ukraine developed 24 volumes of work, in six weeks, more than three thousand Ukrainian and international experts, officials and parliamentarians put “thousands of pages of a vision of what kind of country we are building and how we will restore Ukraine.”
In addition, the Head of Government emphasized that behind successful examples of recovery, there are always international partners helping along the way.
Shmyhal also stressed that during the 130 days of the war, Russia had not achieved any goal in the war it started against Ukraine.
Also, from July 4 to 5 in Lugano (Switzerland), a conference will be held on the restoration of Ukraine, at which the relevant draft plan will be presented.
