According to him, the Russian authorities unleashed this bloody war, they caused this large-scale destruction, and they must bear responsibility for it.
“The frozen assets, according to various estimates, are from 300 to 500 billion dollars. Some countries have already started the processes of not only freezing, but also confiscating these assets,” Shmyhal noted
He also separately noted that direct infrastructure losses to Ukraine amount to 100 billion dollars.
“Today, direct infrastructural damage to our state amounts to 100 billion dollars. More than 1,200 educational institutions, more than 200 hospitals, 1,000 km of gas pipelines, water and electricity networks, roads and railways have been destroyed or damaged, and we count each object, there will be a reconstruction project for each object,” Shmyhal said.
