Ukraine Gate – Kyiv – July 6, 2022- Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko presented more than 1,200 flak jackets to the Ukrainian National Guard.
“The war that Russia brought to Ukraine has been going on for more than four months,” Klitschko said. “The Ukrainians are heroically fighting for their independence and freedom, for their state, and our soldiers, who defend us on the front lines, need high-quality and reliable equipment, which helps the authorities of the capital. Ukrainian fighters to the best of its ability, and we provide food, hygiene products, cars and basic equipment. Equipment all necessary research and testing, having experienced appropriate testing protocols.”
According to the mayor, the city has already delivered nearly 15,000 flak jackets and 5,000 Kevlar helmets to the defenders of Ukraine.
The Department of Defense has also provided more than 100,000 jackets for the armed forces, while stocks remain available to equip approximately six brigades.
