Scholz approved a special fund of 100 billion euros for the German armed forces, intended for the defense of the country. The disadvantage for Germany, BILD notes, is that the “Iron Dome” is designed for an attack scenario from a distance of approximately 70 kilometers. In this case, the attacker will already be in the country.
However, there is a similar alternative system “Arrow 3” (“Strila 3”), which can shoot down even Russian nuclear missiles. It is a $1 million hypersonic missile funded, developed and manufactured by Israel and the United States. According to the manufacturer, “Arrow 3” can intercept a nuclear missile at a distance of up to 2,000 kilometers — even outside the atmosphere in space.
