It was expected that the Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany, Andriy Melnyk, may leave his post and become the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba.

In one of the last interviews with the German mass media, the ambassador called the ban by the German authorities on Ukrainian symbols in Berlin on May 8-9 a “slap to Ukraine”.
