Ukraine Gate – Kyiv – July 12, 2022- Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar announced in a statement posted on the ministry’s official website that a meeting of Turkish, Russian and Ukrainian military delegations will be held with the participation of the United Nations delegation to discuss the export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea, tomorrow, Wednesday, July 13 in Istanbul.
The delegations will hold negotiations on the safe shipment of grain expected in Ukrainian ports to international markets by sea.
Turkish Defense Minister Akar indicated that he had held negotiations on settling the food crisis with the defense ministers of Ukraine and the Russian Federation, after which a permanent communication channel was established at the level of ministries. A delegation from the Turkish Ministry of Defense also visited Moscow, while the Ukrainian military delegation visited Ankara.
Also, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on July 11, during which the two presidents discussed the importance of opening Ukrainian ports and resuming grain exports, as well as preventing the export of Ukrainian grain by Russia.
