The 20th round of the regular UHL hockey championship continued in Mariupol with a match between Mariupol and Sokol.
The team started the first period without much haste, playing without particularly dangerous moments, but with a lot of positional attacks. Only in the second half of the period the clubs became more active in the attack, which immediately resulted in goals. Initially, Skurikhin opened the score in the majority of the match, but only 5 seconds later Ruban responded effectively and equalized the score on the scoreboard.
In the second twenty minutes again, the team played the first half of the period without conceding goals. “Sokolyata” in the second period looked more confident that at the equator of the match bore fruit – Pavlenko stitched Duve and brought his team forward.
In the third part of the match, the “seagulls” Bondarenko equalized the numbers on the scoreboard, but the score did not last long. Kuzmenko scored for the third time in Duve’s goal and brought Kyiv ahead for the second time. Mikhnov scored a successful goal in the match, scoring the fourth goal for Mariupol and recording Sokol’s third victory in a row – 2: 1.
The capital club won the third match in a row and with 28 points holds the second line in the championship, which is 7 less than “Donbass” and one more than “Kremenchuk”.
