Three fires broke out in the Gironde on Tuesday and Meteo-France issued an orange alert for the heat wave.
The first fire occurred in Landiras. According to a local official, 600 hectares have already burned. 80 rescuers are working on the spot.
The second fire in La Teste de Vache. So far, 80 firefighters have been involved, 70 hectares have been fumigated. In addition to the sixty mobilized vehicles, there were also two Canadair aircraft to support the firefighters.
The last, third fire is located in Susana. It has already spread over several hectares. Firefighters on the scene are optimistic and hope to extinguish the fire quickly.
