The language ombudsman will not hand out fines to the first persons of the state: Kremin says this is speculation .

The Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language, Taras Kremin, denied the information that he would hand out fines to the first persons of the state. During the briefing, he stated that such statements are speculations and do not correspond to reality .

“All speculations that the Commissioner will hand out fines to the first persons of the state are not true. I respect the President of Ukraine, I believe that he is performing an extraordinary historical mission, he communicates with the whole world, he is the Guarantor of the Ukrainian Constitution and he will definitely host the parade the victory of the Ukrainian troops in the city of Kyiv,” Kremin said.

At the same time, the language ombudsman emphasized that it is not forbidden to use a non-state language during meetings and communication with foreign guests, but if it is rebroadcast through official means of telecommunications, there should be a translation into Ukrainian.
According to the language ombudsman, 25 Ukrainian officials do not use the state language when informing society on social networks and through television.
