According to the Pentagon, the package approved for Estonia will include up to six launchers of the M142 highly mobile artillery rocket system (HIMARS), ammunition, auxiliary equipment, spare parts and technical support.
The Pentagon’s Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress of the possible sale on Friday, along with two other foreign sales of military equipment.
The State Department also separately approved the possible sale of medium-range air-to-air missiles and related equipment to Norway in a deal worth up to $950 million and MK 54 light torpedoes to South Korea at an estimated cost of $130 million.
