“Yesterday, the enemy carried out two airstrikes, four rockets were fired at populated areas. In addition, three massive artillery shells were recorded. The territory was shelled four more times with mortars. Two villages in Luhansk region remain under the control of the government of Ukraine,” Gaidai wrote.
Details
According to the head of OVA, it is these villages that do not give rest to the Rashists, because they were ordered to go to the administrative border of Luhansk region.
“They repeatedly reported on the completion of the task, they may have received appropriate awards, but they still cannot overcome the few kilometers that remain. One of the villages has already been captured by the occupier several times, but our soldiers have always pushed the enemy back to their previous positions. However, the enemy does not stop – it returns and suffers another loss,” said Gaidai.
He noted that on July 16, the Russians tried to advance in the direction of Verkhnokamyanka, but received decent resistance, retreated, and then underestimated the number of personnel.
“Another attempt to attack the defensive redoubts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was organized by the enemy near Beilohorivka, but it was also repulsed, the occupiers continue to destroy the homes of citizens with artillery fire. They do not care if there will be life in these settlements. Their propaganda television hardly shows scenes from the destroyed villages, until for example, Popasnyanska and Girska communities. Because there is nothing to show off there. The Russians turned them into ashes,” added Gaidai.
Addition
Gaidai reported that the occupiers reduced the number of shelling in Luhansk Oblast due to well-aimed strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on enemy ammunition depots.
Also earlier, he noted that a small part of Luhansk region is still holding, the occupied territories of the region were on the verge of a humanitarian disaster.
