According to the results of online auctions for the privatization of alcohol assets as part of the demonopolization of the alcohol industry, UAH 1.2 billion was attracted to the state budget.
In total, in the period from October to December 2020, private investors bought 17 distillers. The starting price of the assets sold during the auctions increased by 136%, the SPF adds.
The most expensive alcohol asset sold was the Vishnyakovsky distillery in the Poltava region, bought by ResursPromZakhid for UAH 234 million.
According to the head of the State Property Fund Dmitry Sennichenko, the privatization of distilleries will continue in 2021, from which the fund expects to attract another UAH 1 billion.

According to the document, from July 1, 2020, the state monopoly on alcohol production will be canceled, incl. as a medicine, as well as for medical and veterinary purposes.
On December 18, the State Property Fund sold at a privatization auction the Vishnyakovsky distillery in the Poltava region for a record price of UAH 234 million.
