Audi will recall thousands of RS5 sports coupes from 2017-2019 due to electrical problems.
Due to the incorrect positive terminal cover of the terminal block, 12 V power is not provided, and in the event of a road accident, the car interior turns into an inaccessible enclosed space from which you cannot get out.
2355 cars fall under the recall campaign. Traffic inspectors said that such problems are fraught with blocking transport doors. This will turn off hazard lights, which will increase the likelihood of injury to passengers and the driver of the Audi RS5 in the event of an accident.
The German company will inform the owners of the sports coupe about the need to take the vehicle to the dealers for inspection. Craftsmen will replace the positive terminal cover at no cost. The recall campaign is expected to begin on February 7 next year.
Note that the 2018 Audi RS5 Coupe is equipped with a 2.9-liter power plant with 444 hp. and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The highest speed of the car is 280 km per hour.
In the upgraded version, the technical characteristics remain the same. The new model was first introduced last fall.
