The crew of an Air Canada Boeing 737 MAX made an emergency landing during a test flight via Marana (USA) to Montreal (Canada). The cause was a problem with the left engine.
“Immediately after takeoff, the low pressure indicator in the hydraulic system of the left engine worked. At first, the crew wanted to continue the flight, but after a signal of a fuel imbalance, they turned off the engine, declared an emergency and headed to the nearest town of Tucson for landing,” Aviation24.be writes. There was no one on board the aircraft except three crew members.
United Airlines announced the resumption of operation of the Boeing 737 MAX after two plane crashes with this aircraft. The first took place in 2018 in Indonesia, killing 189 people. In March 2019, an accident occurred in Ethiopia, killing 157 passengers. In December this year, the 737 MAX made its first commercial flight a year and a half after all airliners of this type stopped flying.
