The National Bank of Ukraine has announced a new limit for card payments, changes in money withdrawals and transfers abroad,

Yes, from July 21:
- the limit for withdrawing cash from hryvnia payment cards abroad has been changed from monthly to weekly: UAH 12.5 thousand (equivalent) for seven calendar days. As before, you can withdraw UAH 50,000 (equivalent) per month.
- the monthly limit on P2P transfers abroad from hryvnia payment cards of Ukrainian banks has been reduced from UAH 100,000 to UAH 30,000 (equivalent);
- a monthly limit for payments abroad using hryvnia payment cards of UAH 100,000 (equivalent) from all client bank accounts opened in the national currency has been established. This restriction will not be felt by the vast majority of citizens who are abroad, the National Bank assured.
The NBU also warned that they may introduce a separate procedure for conducting currency purchase operations by banks for their own needs.
Also, from July 21, banks will be allowed to sell non-cash currency with subsequent placement on deposit for a period of three calendar months without the right of early termination within the monthly limit of UAH 50,000 (equivalent). This will create an alternative to investing in cash currency, the NBU noted.
In addition, since July 25, the permission for commercial banks to buy cash hryvnias from foreign financial institutions for non-cash foreign currency has been canceled.

For the first time since February 24, the National Bank of Ukraine raised the official exchange rate of the hryvnia to the US dollar – by 25% to UAH 36.5686/dollar.
